The 100 Foot Deep Step Well
The 1,200-year-old Chand Baori step well in the Indian village of Abhaneri contains 3,500 steps winding its way down in a maze-like configuration of M.C. Escher illusory madness. I wonder how many tourists have tried to run up the steps with “Eye of the Tiger” playing in the back of their brains and then probably died.
